Bianca was born in Cologne, Germany in 1969. She completed a three year program at the Holzfachschule Köln focusing on fine cabinetry building and furniture design and subsequently moved to Miami where she attended International Fine Arts College.
She now lives and works in the Miami area.
Her more recent works are much more concrete depictions of the structures she has always been drawn to. Her palette now is more subtle, while the content can now be seen as clearly edifice anatomy. In Bianca’s opinion the choice of medium should reflect the intention of the painting. While most of her earlier pieces were Oil, Acrylic or Mixed Media she has now chosen to work in Encaustic. Carefully placing down wax layer over wax layer allows her to image the mystery of the vibrant emerging cityscape.
Upon close examination of her paintings one can observe the energy and intention that a modern building exudes during it’s infancy in construction.

In fact it is not Bianca’s intention to depict modern super structures but her aim is to reveal the intensity and darkened depth of our evolving urban terrain by revealing the powerful skeleton that gives structure to the lives that dwell within. It is the subject of all her new work.
